Willow Fire & Security attended a large university accommodation block in West London to replace a faulty actuator on a mechanical shaft ventilation system.
The existing unit had failed, compromising the smoke control strategy for the building. Our engineers safely isolated the system, removed the defective actuator, and installed a new unit to restore full functionality.
Following installation, the system was tested to ensure reliable operation in both manual and automatic modes, helping maintain the building’s fire safety compliance. Reports were sent to the client detailing the works along with images for their records.
