At this block of flats in East London the shutters which opened in an emergency were not functioning. The shutter power panel was linked to the fire alarm so it would open in the event that the alarm was activated giving another escape route.
The main panel was linked to an uninterruptable power supply unit which when diagnosed was found to be faulty.
We replaced the batteries in the main panel as they had been drained and also supplied and fitted a new UPS. We tested the shutters worked on fire activation and manual opening after install.
