Willow Fire & Security carried out annual smoke vent (AOV) maintenance at a residential block of flats in Bromley, South East London in accordance with BS EN 12101 and manufacturer recommendations.
During the visit, the head of stair smoke vent was tested to confirm correct operation via smoke activation and the manual override switch. The vent opened and closed correctly, confirming reliable operation under emergency conditions.
Standby batteries within the smoke control system were also checked and tested to ensure capacity remained within acceptable amp-hour (Ah) limits, providing assurance that the system will operate correctly in the event of a mains power failure.
All tests were completed successfully, with the smoke ventilation system confirmed fully operational and compliant on completion.
